No, you’re not too late, Reader.

If you’ve reached this point in January and you’re thinking “well, I haven’t sat down to make any resolutions or set goals or intentions yet so I may as well forget about it,” I want to invite you to reconsider.

Dreams happen in the darkness of sleep.
Of recovery.
Of resting.

And that’s what winter is all about.

It begins with darkness.
It’s about being inside and looking inward.
It’s about letting the seeds of intention emerge in your awareness rather than forcing them.

Dreams need a time of quiet nothingness to appear.

And with light they begin to take shape.

But there’s no rushing the process for a dream or intention to arrive in your awareness.

Winter is the time for setting intentions.

It’s the start of the natural world’s process, just like the dark of a new moon, or the quiet seed sitting under the surface of the ground waiting for the right moment.

An intention is not about setting lofty goals and making big sweeping changes right away in life, it’s about considering a way of being.

Then doing small things consistently every day to align with that way of being.

So if you’re sitting there beating yourself up or feeling behind because the rest of the world is out there flaunting their “word of the year,” or fitness goals, or highly complicated plan for how their going to achieve millionaire status all over social media remember this:

Winter is an ENTIRE season. Three months, people. You have time to simmer and enjoy the process of letting whatever needs to emerge, arrive in it’s right time.

But if you want a little fire to warm you to the idea of how you want 2026 to look for you, perhaps consider pulling out a journal or fresh clean sheet of paper, your favorite pen, a warm beverage and curling up with your favorite blanket and candle to answer just this one question:

Who do I want to BE in 2026?

Answer with one word or an entire paragraph. Just be open to receiving whatever comes to you in that moment and follow the thread.

You might be surprised at what you uncover.

So, no, you’re not late, you’re arriving at exactly the right time. Your time. And that’s exactly right for you.

Cheers to you, my friend,

P.S. The picture above is midway through my intention setting process for the year… hear more about it next week!
