Hey Reader!

Some of the most amazing women I know have a spirit of adventure tucked inside them, even if they may not always show it on the outside.

Take, for instance, my friend Christa Belknap… now 104, she let me in on a little secret. She used to be a biker chick.

Y’all, she is seriously one of the people I would least expect to be in a biker gang, but it turns out she indeed was in a biker gang waaaaaaaay back in the day. (I don’t really think it was a biker gang, more of a club, per se, but I like to tease her😃)

Today in honor of International Women’s Day, I want to continue to honor one of the women I admire most in this world. A woman who has lived a full life with a relaxed ease. Leading with love and connection rather than fear and avoidance, she is a beautiful picture of what Health Harmony and Happiness is.

🎧If you want to hear more of her story, check out my latest podcast episode here.

We are at the start of Spring Break here with my kids and it’s getting a little bonkers already around my house, but I do want to remind you that Spring is just around the corner. I have some great Spring-themed classes coming up for parents and kiddos alike next week and would love to have you join in if you’re local. Check out the links below to register.

Spring means it’s time to begin taking action… putting the plans in place and beginning to make the connections that need to happen in order to move towards an intention or goal. But it also means we can start to feel very scattered because we might be floating from one thing to another, especially during this time when kids are home, spring activities start to consume after school and evening time and the growing daylight starts to bring our attention to what needs cared for in our outside environment.

So the need to ground yourself is exceptionally important during this time as well. What I mean by grounding is settling…coming back to yourself, connecting with not only the physical ground or earth, but also yourself. This helps you clear your mind of distraction and stay focused.

Yoga, breathwork, moving my body in nature and journaling are my favorite ways to do this, I wonder what yours are? Write me back and let me know, I’d love to hear!

And until next time…

Happy International Women’s Day! Cheers to how far we’ve come over the years and look ahead at the potential of what we still can accomplish.

In Health Harmony and Happiness,

Cathy
