Hi Reader,
Did you catch my podcast episode about “vacation hangovers”? If not, go check it out here.
In the episode I talk about why it’s essential to make a plan for connecting with yourself even when on vacation so that you don’t arrive back home and feel like you need the same amount of time you were gone to recover from your vacation. But this doesn’t just apply to a trip away from home; it’s also essential to do when the big energy of “summer vacation” (or a full moon like yesterday😉) is present, even if you don’t have kids still in school.
There’s this “go, go, go”, “put kids’ activities first”, “no routine = hectic life” perception that’s been plaguing naturally caffeinated people (even when you’re on vacation), and it has been stealing moments from you for years.
I’m not suggesting that the scribbly feeling that happens when routine is lacking, or that the challenge to find time for yourself even to breathe when life is full isn’t a real, or valid feeling.
On the contrary, it’s very real…and the feeling like you have to sacrifice your own essential self care and inner peace in order to check all the things off the list, including putting out every fire that comes your way in a day, has been holding you back and robbing you for too long.
💚You deserve to feel balanced, healthy and confident.
💚You deserve to have time to find yourself again.
💚You deserve to slow down every once in a while.
💚You deserve to enjoy more presence and not feel pulled in every direction.
💚You deserve to see your priorities and time in a whole new way.
I am here to tell you that you don’t have to be held captive by the illusion of the “vacation hangover” any longer.

Mid-year Check-in: Your 2025 Rhythms of F.L.O.W.
Where are you at with the intentions you set in 2025?
It’s absolutely OK if by mid-year you have forgotten about those intentions you perhaps set at the end of 2024 or start of this year.
I just recently finished my vision board that I began in January. I was mostly done, just needed to add a couple finishing touches, and finally did over the weekend.
It was a beautiful way for me to begin to invite a mid-year check into my life and ask myself one of my favorite questions:
Am I living in a way that helps me get to where I want to be?
Then, of course, depending on the answer, that could be followed up by:
What do I need to stop doing so that I am living in a way that helps me remember these intentions?
AND
What’s one thing I can do today to start living in a way that gets me to where I want to be?
So I wonder, what’s one of the intentions you set for yourself at the start of the year? Reply back and let me know. I’m curious to find out!
