Hey Reader,

When I pull out my intentions and action items for the coming year I wrote back in December/January around the Winter Solstice Rhythms Retreat (yep, just as I lead folks like you through the exercises to set intentions, I actually do it too😉), it can get a little overwhelming just looking at them.

Some of them are BIG and not necessarily things I can just check off my list… they’re going to take at least a year to fully actualize.

So sometimes I just don’t know where to start.

They’re all things that have been placed on my heart, so why is starting some of them just so hard?

Tell me you’ve been there…

…you know in your heart of hearts that something is meant to happen or that you’re being called to step into something new and big, but you get a little paralyzed when it comes to taking action towards it?

Yeah, I thought so.

It’s OK, Reader, it really does happen to all of us. But why is it just so dang hard to start then?

It could be that:

🚥It’s new and scary and you have to learn something first (or as you go) in order to make it happen.

OR

🚥There’s voices in your head telling you “you’re really not good enough” or that “it’s impossible to do.”

OR

🚥Life happens, other things top the priority list, and before you know it, 3 months have passed and it’s hard to even remember that you wanted to align with that goal or intention that you so confidently believed you could do at one point.

OR MAYBE

🚥The thing on your list just feels too big and cumbersome to tackle by yourself and you just want someone to hold your hand and help you make sense of how to go about doing it.

🙋‍♀️Yep, me too to all of those at some point or another.

But the thing is, starting something new, whether it’s a project, a habit or just an intention to be different, is all about change.

It means stepping away from the comfortable, the familiar, the way things have been, and instead doing things differently.

(Ahem, that’s the definition of transition.)

And, as you’ve heard me say many times before… transitions can be tricky.

Especially if you’re too much in your own head to even know what the first move is.

That’s where the Awakening into Action Spring Rhythms Retreat comes into play.

When you can get out of your own way by getting out of your head and back into your body and feeling that same sense of heart-led desire you had when your big, beautiful idea came to rest on your heart, then you know exactly where to start.

And you can easily create a step-by-step plan to get you started. Or just get the courage to leap and trust that the net will appear!🤸‍♀️

That’s what you’ll do at the Awakening into Action Retreat. You’ll connect with the world around you, engage your senses, and create resonance with your heart and mind so you know exactly what steps to take and when.

This retreat is about helping you shift from thinking about what you want to actually stepping into it, with guidance and support.

Because sometimes the first step is in just knowing the first step that you need to take.

Then with support and encouragement from others hoping to also take the first step in a new direction, it makes it easier to actually DO, even if their first step looks different from yours.

Are you ready to get started on those goals you set out to do?

Join me at the Awakening into Action Spring Rhythms Retreat. There’s only about a week left to sign up.

Cheers,

Cathy
