You know when you have the best of intentions and for whatever reason they all go south?

🙋‍♀️

Well friends, that’s exactly what happened to me the past couple of weeks.

When life doesn’t align with your intentions, perhaps it’s a nudge from God telling you to look at something differently.

Or maybe that you need to keep practicing the art of flowing with your time, energy and focus even when unexpected things come up. 😉 (Kinda the thing I say a lot around here.)

Needless to say, I’m sure you all noticed that your weekly email didn’t show up in your inbox early this morning – HA! J/K – but if you did, thank you for noticing 🥰. And if you didn’t, here I am showing up later in your inbox to let you know it’s OK when life happens and your actions don’t actually end up aligning with your intentions.

You know how I’m all about setting intentions…for the day, week, month, year, etc., and even still, just because those intentions are set does NOT by any means mean that life will actually align with them.

It’s a practice in letting go of attachment to the outcome and trusting the flow of things.

Here’s what I mean…

I have this grand intention to batch podcast recording and prepping around my cycle, and in an ideal world, it always works out. But, alas, we don’t live in an ideal world, and life happens. The strep struck our house an our in-home daycare provider’s and it derailed my efforts.

So, there is no new podcast episode this week. So why do I tell you this?

Because one thing that I appreciate most about my business mentor is that she is forever REAL with us. She doesn’t hesitate to admit when her plans get sidetracked or when she realizes she has to change lanes and go a different route all together.

And that makes me want to follow and learn from her even more. You know why?

Because she shows me it’s OK to not have it all together all the time. It’s OK to not be perfect. It’s OK to be who I am and trust that it is enough wherever I am in life.

So for you, my hope is that this email gives you permission to feel and do the same. You deserve to be seen and appreciated exactly where you are in life, even when unexpected things come up.

And I want you to know that I see you. So if you are feeling the “itchiness” to judge yourself for not doing or being something that you think you “should” have done or be doing…STOP.

Give yourself a hug, put your hand on your heart and send some love to that vulnerable place inside of you. Ask it what it most needs right now, then honor that.

And if you missed any of the January episodes, here’s a little reminder of what we talked about on the show:

#62: Clearing Out the Clutter with Krista Lockwood

#63: Transitions

#64: Yoga’s Rhythm is Also Your Rhythm

#65: It’s OK to Abandon Yourself

Love to you all and I’ll see you next week with a new, fresh podcast episode.

Helping you find the rhythms in all you do!

Cheers,

Cathy
