Hey there Reader,

I taught yoga to the kids at our Monday morning before school program this week and while teaching the final relaxation, I prompted the kids through a common visualization I teach in both kids and adult classes.

I had them visualize a light inside of themselves. Then I had them think of someone they needed to forgive or someone that maybe needed to forgive them. Using the first person that came to mind for each student, I encouraged them to connect the light inside of them with that person as a way of extending or receiving forgiveness.

That light within each one of us, I consider our Inner Guidance or the spark of God within us. As a Christian, I even see it as the Holy Spirit’s energy.

The practice of visualizing it and connecting it with ourselves and others is just one of many practices that’s available to you as a means of connecting your human self with the divinity within you.

Breathwork, yoga, journaling, visualization, meditation, prayer, any other ritual that helps you find stillness so that you can connect with yourself and that spiritual energy within you is absolutely what this human experience is about. Those things help elevate us to more fully experience life, relationships and the possibility of who we can become, all while acknowledging and finding contentment in who we are right now on this journey.

And all this is what my dear friend, Melissa Harris, and I are talking about today on the podcast. Melissa and I had a beautiful chat a couple years ago on the show and she’s back and we’re diving deeper into what we talked about way back then.

I’m excited to share this episode with you because Melissa means so much to me and is such an inspiring and beautiful friend of mine. May our chat inspire curiosity within you. 💜

Everybody wants ease in life, right?

Everybody wants flow.

Everybody wants life to be easier.

The way to do that is to connect with yourself, with the divinity within yourself. To know yourself and to know that even though we will have problems and we will have struggles in this life because that’s guaranteed, we can still tap into this bigger energy, but we don’t have to seek outside of us. We can seek inside. We can connect with that energy inside of us and also it’s outside of us and around us.

Helping you find and use the rhythms in and around you to cultivate health, harmony and happiness.

Cheers,

Cathy
