Hey Reader,

You know how some days you have laser focus and some days you’re all over the place in your brain? I’m hoping it’s not the latter for you the majority of the time, but if it is…just know that you’re not alone.

We all go through seasons when it feels like focus will never return and your brain is left to wander around aimlessly as if it’s got a mind of it’s own.

Wait…🤨does that even make sense?

In any case, if you feel like you’re brain is out wandering around it’s causing you to feel like you’re paddling upstream looking for it, I’ve got a quick tool that you can use to guide it back.

It’s called setting intentions.

There’s a quick way to do this daily, then a slightly different way to do it for the month so that you start living in flow again with your time, energy and focus.

I talk about both of them in this week’s episode of Health Harmony and Happiness with Cathy, but I wanted to share the quick daily practice with you right here, so you’ve got it and can start using it right away.

So here it is:

  1. First thing in the morning, take a few deep breaths to drop into the present moment and find your inner guidance (that small voice of intuition inside of you)
  2. Ask yourself “What is it that I need most today?”. The first thing that comes to mind is your 1st intention (that’s the voice of your inner guidance, listen, even if it seems disconnected from what you know you need to do).
  3. Then, right away, ask again “And what else?”. The next thing is your 2nd intention.
  4. And finally ask one more time “And what else?” to get your 3rd intention.

These aren’t necessarily things to add to your list, but might just be indicators of how you need to approach the day. Your intentions then guide how you set up the rest of your day, even if you’ve got a full schedule of things that HAVE to be done.

I tell you a little more how this works in the episode along with give you tools for setting yourself up for a month of focused success in using your Energetic Rhythms to work with the energy you have (or don’t have) instead of against it.

When you set intentions daily, it’s just a way of aligning what you know you need to do for the day (all those things on your to-do list) with what your inner guidance is really wanting to do. And when you check in with both at the start of the day (especially your inner guidance though) you start off with a more focused approach to the day!

Helping you find the rhythms in life, always!

Cheers,

Cathy
