Circadian rhythm, in part your sleep cycles, may play more of a role in nutrition and how your body uses food as fuel than what it is you are actually eating.
There’s a lot of information right now out there about various nutritional lifestyle plans that you could be choosing – paleo, keto, intermittent fasting, macro counting, the standard American diet…the list really does go on.
So how do you know what is right for YOU?
It really may have more to do with 2 elements that you require in order to function each day than with the actual food that is going into your body. Sure nutrient-dense foods absolutely matter, and knowing what foods your body tolerates best definitely comes into play, but there are 4 simple things you can ask yourself to determine if the food lifestyle or choices you are making is working for you.
I’ll tell you that one of the elements that helps your body use food as fuel is sleep.
You know you naturally feel better when you’ve had an adequate amount of sleep. Well, your body is actually better able to function at a cellular level and use the food you are eating when you sleep enough too!
Your body is designed to wake when the sun comes up and sleep when the sun goes down.
But we as a society have really gone far off that path, and the way we process food is impacted by it.
And that’s just what I talk about with Kathleen (Katie) Standafer Lopez this week as she sheds light on the other element that is the most critical in helping your body use food efficiently.
She also gives you insights into why eating small meals throughout the day, as many of us have been taught to do over the years, may not be an ideal way to eat.
Katie shares so many good tips in this episode to help you decide whether you’re eating in a way that supports Health Harmony and Happiness in your life that I can’t wait for you to listen.
