Hey Reader,
Life is full. Full, and constantly bouncing you around like a raft trying to navigate rapids.
And when you’re on the verge of burnout or already burned out from one thing or another or multiple things, and the tools that help stabilize and ground yourself have even been neglected, it’s hard to get the motivation to get started with those things that will help you get back to living in your version of flow.
This happens to me in the summer when my regular routine gets thrown off because kids are at home, we have more daytime things going on, and well, it’s just a different energy during the summer 🤷♀️.
But it can truly happen to you anytime–like when retirement sets in, or you go through divorce, or have a baby, or switch jobs, or your kids’ sports season changes, or school now starts 10 minutes earlier than it has in the past, or heck, the road is closed that you take to work every day!
You get the picture, both big and small life changes impact how you move with ease through your day. And they also impact your habits.
It’s those things that throw your schedule off, even in the smallest of ways. And when that happens, it can be real easy to just let slide the things that ground and center you.
Things like walking, practicing yoga, eating healthy, journaling, meditating, setting intentions & releasing rituals, connecting with friends, spending time with God. These all have the potential to be shuffled around when life gets bumpy in any way.
And when that happens, it can sometimes be hard to get started doing any one of those things again. Even with the best of intentions, it can be a challenge.
And here’s what you need to know–it’s normal, and you’re not a bad person for struggling with getting started doing something that you consciously know will make you feel better once you’re doing it again.
This week on Health Harmony and Happiness with Cathy I share 1 thing you can do to help if this sounds like you right now.

Next week, I’ll be sharing what I believe to be the best way to ground yourself, but for now, rest in knowing that it’s OK to struggle with starting a new habit or restarting one that got set aside when life happened.
Sending you a great big hug and holding space for you to be enough exactly as you are, right in this moment.
Until next week…
Helping you see the rhythms in your life, always!
Cheers,
Cathy
