Hey Reader,

How many times have you caught yourself saying something like…

🌀“Once things slow down a little, I’ll be able to…”

🌀“After the season ends, I’ll finally have some downtime and feel like I can breathe again.”

🌀“I just need school to start again, then I’ll be able to get into a regular routine.”

🌀“Once I retire, that’s when I’ll finally focus on myself.”

I hear this all the time from people who really want to make time for themselves by trying classes at the studio or attending events I hold, but haven’t for one reason or another. They always seem to have a really good reason as to why it just doesn’t fit into their schedule at the time. And rightfully so, we all have those seasons when something just isn’t a right fit.

But spiritual self care (and I don’t mean religion – your spirit is far bigger and deeper than that😉) is something that is necessary all the time for your health, harmony and happiness. In fact science shows that brains of people who take the pause to invite some sort of mindfulness into their life on the regular, have a thicker and healthier brain than those who do not.

Those who have a regular rhythm of spiritual practices have a stronger mental health outlook and protection against diseases like depression, anxiety, and addiction.

Here’s the truth: busyness can become an addiction.

And just so you know, things aren’t going to slow down on their own.

If you’ve been waiting for a “better” time to reset, there is no better time. This IS your time, your time for change.

Finding a new rhythm isn’t something you wait for, it’s something you build. Something you own, believe in, and take action on. Then let go and watch how it transforms your life.

It’s not just a one and done kind of thing.

It’s something you do over

and over

and over again.

Finding your rhythm is fluid and changes with the seasons (even the micro rhythms of the day😉), but the importance of taking regular resets does not. It’s valid and important ALL the time.

You’ve been waiting for your calendar to open up, for life to settle down, for the perfect moment to catch your breath… but what if that moment isn’t coming – what if you have to create it?

A weekly walk without your phone. A 5-minute breath practice before transitioning after work. A sacred pause on the Solstice. These small resets aren’t luxuries… they’re lifelines.

It may feel like the pressures of your calendar and kids’ activities are more important. But let’s face it, your health truly does depend on you creating the pauses to res{e}t. Creating a rhythm that includes regular spiritual self care.

Because this IS your time – for the pause, the rhythm, the reconnection.

Cheers,

☀️May God’s goodness and light be with me today and always; and may others experience this goodness and light through me.

The Latest Cultivate Health Harmony Happiness

From Dreading Summer to Discovering My Children

For the first time I was actually looking forward to the last day of school yesterday. I don’t think these words have ever come out of my mouth as a parent.

I’ve always lived in this place of dreading the transition and chaos that happens when schedules are turned upside down or non-existent with the lack of routine. Never really letting myself enjoy the excitement and pure joy that came as a kid for myself on the last day of school.

Instead, I would try to be excited for my kids, but inside be stressed as all get out.

But that’s different this year.

I share about what’s changed in my most recent Cultivate Health Harmony Happiness essay. I would love to have you read and subscribe below.

What’s Cultivating Health Harmony Happiness in My Life…

Taking a little thing called 5-MTHF to help my MTHFR gene methylate more optimally (yes, it does seem like I’m covering up saying MotherF*****… that’s kind of the nickname for this gene because if it’s running fast or slow in your body, it can really act like a Mother F***** in your body.) I didn’t realize how much it was impacting me that mine tends to run slow until I started taking this supplement.

Want to know how to know how your MTHFR gene functions?
You’ll have to get a gene report for that. Although I had mine 4-5 years ago through Stratagene, if you’re local, Rachel Davis, ARNP at Rejuvenate RX is now seeing clients for this sort of thing. Get in touch with her or schedule something with her here.
