Reader,

There you sit overthinking Christmas after everyone else has gone to bed.

It really shouldn’t be this hard. You just want everyone to have a good Christmas and for the gifts to be “fair” enough so you don’t get backlash Christmas morning. Why in the world does it have to be so hard?😖

💥Newsflash: It actually doesn’t have to be.💥

You have this innate quality about you that you’ve actually probably just turned off or quieted for much of your life. And it has nothing to do with actually doing more in life, but instead with learning to sit and be still.

And even though you may be still on the couch, scrolling, looking for just the right gifts for your kids, it’s not the same form of being still that I’m talking about.

Instead, the slowing down, quiet that I speak of, is in the listening. It’s being able to tune in to the rhythm of life around you, and listen for the voice of your inner guidance within.

And just by doing that, you actually make the decisions on what to get those beautiful souls in your life much more effortlessly.

You know how I know?

Because this used to be me. 🙋‍♀️(👋Hi, I’m the problem, it’s me)

But I have since realized that more and more it’s hard for me to even come up with a list of things I overthink because I have done the work to undo the overthinking and instead lead from a place of listening to my inner guidance.

You can too.

So I wonder, other than Christmas gifts, what else do you find yourself overthinking these days?

Write me back and let me know. When you do, I’ll better be able to help others overcome the pesky little problem of overthinking.

Cheers,

Cathy
