Hey Reader,

My son got the “Hustle Award” at the end-of-season party for swim team for always going 100 mph 100% of the time.

Oddly enough, this is not a quality I realized he had. 🙄 Yet, turns out the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

This is the same child who, when he was 2 and I was frantically trying to get out of the house with a baby and him to get to a family gathering, looked up at me and said, “Be still, Mommy. Be happy.” 🥹

My wise little soul.

Sadly, I trained that out of him even while still on my journey to actually slow down.

Since then, I have (at least in my own mind) slowed down tremendously. But there are still areas I know I could ease up, and my son is a reflection of this.

Friends, if you’re the kind of person who thrives on momentum, loves being in motion, and feels naturally caffeinated by life (no espresso required 😉), then Daylight Savings Time might feel like an annoying speed bump. You’re rolling with your rhythm, and suddenly—BAM!—you lose an hour, feel groggy, life may not be going quite as you expected it to go, and your usual spark feels a little dimmed.

(And you may not all be as lucky as we were to have a late start Monday so we could get around a little slower as we ease into the week.)

But here’s the thing: this time shift isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s actually a powerful seasonal reset.

🔥 Spring isn’t an instant switch—it’s a process.
Nature doesn’t go from winter to full bloom overnight—remember that messy middle I wrote about last week?

It warms up, cools back off, freezes, warms, builds, rains, gets messy, and eventually blooms.

And that’s exactly what this time change invites us to do—to shift, to adjust, to awaken into action.

🌞 More Light = More Energy (If You Work With It, Not Against It)
Instead of resisting the shift, try leaning into it:
✨ Shift with the sun. Use the extra daylight as fuel—get outside, breathe deep, connect with nature, and let your own natural fire re-ignite.

✨ Move with intention. Just like nature, rather than sprinting out of the gate, stretch, breathe, ease into this energy shift so you don’t burn out before spring even arrives. After all, we only have two weeks until the equinox—think of this as a warm-up for the main event.

✨ Find your flow. I know you love movement, but not all movement is about speed. This is a perfect time to refine your rhythm—balancing action with stillness so you stay centered, not scattered.

(Did you know this is actually what the Spring Equinox shows us—with equal light and dark?)

🔥 This is exactly what we’ll be doing at the 🌱Awakening Into Action Spring Rhythms Retreat—helping you channel Spring’s energy in a way that feels powerful, intentional, and sustainable. Because your fire isn’t meant to burn out—it’s meant to fuel you forward.

As we warm up for the Equinox, let’s lean into this shift together—honoring both the light and the dark, the movement and the stillness. Because balance isn’t about stopping—it’s about flowing in rhythm with what’s ahead.

And maybe, just maybe, it’s about remembering the wisdom of a two-year-old who, in the middle of all the hustle, simply said: “Be still, Mommy. Be happy.”

Because sometimes, that’s exactly what this season is asking of us too.

If this transition has felt like a jolt, you’re not alone. But what if, instead of pushing through, you embraced it as an invitation—to shift with intention, to reconnect with your rhythm, and to awaken into action without burning out?

That’s exactly what we’ll be doing at the 🌱Awakening Into Action Spring Rhythms Retreat. Let’s move into this next season together—grounded, fueled, and flowing.

Are you feeling this shift yet?

👉Write me back and let me know your go-to way to keep your energy steady during transitions.

Cheers,

Cathy
