Greetings friends!

The best weekends for me are the ones I get to wake up on lazy Saturday mornings, practice yoga outside as nature is waking up and beginning it’s rhythm of humming around me, then go about my day (scheduled or unscheduled) feeling an energized calm within me.

My perspective is so much different and life doesn’t seem to be happening to me so much as I am able to flow with whatever happens around me. My energy is calmer around my kids and they feel it, even when they are bonkers. So whatever chaos they incite doesn’t seem quite as crazy or unnerving on their end or unmanageable for me as on the days I choose not to honor the time with myself on my mat.

What about you? Do you notice a difference in who you are when you take the time to connect with yourself either on or off the mat in how you approach your day and interactions around your family? Write me back and let me know, I love hearing from readers.

If you’re not quite sure, and you live in the Knoxville area, join us tomorrow morning for Yoga on the Lawn. It’s back and will run through September in the same location as last year.

If you’re not in my area, find an outdoor yoga class to attend where you live or grab your mat and head outside to practice on your own!

In other news…

Feeling stuck is a good indicator that something needs to be released from your life. Yet when it regularly feels like the chaos of running kids, making sure they’re fed and bathed while also taking care of the household and your relationship with your spouse (and yourself) dictates your life, it may make the thought of letting go of anything seem impossible. Which is why it’s essential to carve out time in your schedule to actually focus on the task of letting go.

And a full moon is a beautiful time to begin letting go. It’s a visible reminder that nothing is permanent and nature shows us this when the moon peaks then begins to wane. It’s letting go of the old and embracing the new, ever-moving phases of life.

So this is your nudge to also consider what you might be ready to let of of in life or put out there into the world. It doesn’t always have to be getting rid of something in a sense that it’s no longer serving you, it might mean that you are taking a courageous step to put a part of you out into the world through creativity, your voice or effort towards a project. (My releasing is actually getting back to connecting with you through email, so avoid limiting yourself with what you think you “should” be releasing from your life.)

I’m working on a podcast on this that I thought would be ready to put out by this full moon, but alas, life…

And that’s what happens, I’m human, just like you. So, the releasing episode will come out at the end of the month before the next full moon, and life will be OK🙃.

Until next time…

Love whatever rhythm you’re in right now😘!

Cheers,

Cathy
